Opportunity
Team's in New York based tech start-up that aims to make medications more affordable for consumers. We have integrated with the largest pharmacy benefit companies, providing consumers with unprecedented access to health plan information and low prices on medications. Team's management team has deep domain expertise in drug pricing and consumer technology.

Technical Vision and Requirements
- Establish the technical and procedural foundation for the company's QA function for the
long-term. - Possess a strong knowledge of modern web development tech stacks (frontend and
backend) available in market and evaluate new tools/frameworks for QA. - Balance the need to deliver features quickly while ensuring product stability for users. - Participate in and contribute to engineering culture that optimizes for quality and maintainability of the code base through modern engineering practices (eg, Scrum). - Ensure code quality by reviewing PRs and suggesting improvements to new commits. - Engage actively with dev team to understand technical challenges and develop plans to solve them.

People Management
- Manage all members of the QA team, with an emphasis on building consensus, resolving conflicts, and providing opportunities for staff to build their skills and responsibilities. - Set reasonable expectations for QA team deliverables to product and engineering teams. Feel comfortable saying 'no' and articulating trade-offs when discussing plans. - Serve as decision maker and key communicator between QA team and other teams in the product, engineering, and business organizations.

Recruitment
- Coordinate with head of recruitment to define hiring priorities and requisite qualifications for each vacant position. - Conduct candidate interviews and technical assessments, as needed.

Product
- Understand product vision and underlying business mechanics to develop comprehensive QA strategy in conjunction with engineering managers, product managers, and business managers.
